A smaller opening menu can give you better information

A focused opening menu is easier to evaluate. It lets you learn which flavors customers choose and where the station needs attention before adding complexity.

Build around a few clear choices

Choose a classic milk tea, a distinct second tea profile, a fruit tea direction, and a small topping selection. Each drink should have a reason to be on the menu.

Check how ingredients overlap. A new drink that uses existing ingredients may be easier to support than one requiring a separate powder, syrup, garnish, and preparation routine.

Test the ordering experience

Ask someone unfamiliar with the menu to explain the difference between two drinks. If the distinction is unclear, improve the name or description before adding more choices.

Make cup sizes, topping options, and available customizations easy to understand. Staff should know the recipe and description for every listed drink.

Review evidence after service

Track orders, ingredient usage, remakes, and leftovers. Note questions customers ask repeatedly. These observations can reveal whether a drink needs a clearer description, a recipe adjustment, or a different place on the menu.

Expand one meaningful change at a time. Keep enough consistency between menu versions to understand what changed customer demand and station workload.
