Pearls can be the most memorable part of a drink—and the least forgiving part of prep. A repeatable routine matters more than a universal cooking shortcut.

Standard, quick-cook, and instant pearls can require very different water ratios and preparation steps. Begin with the exact product instructions for cooking, resting, rinsing, sweetening, and holding.
Use a manageable test batch to learn how the pearls behave in your cookware. Record the batch size and equipment used so the result can be reproduced during service.
Taste a prepared pearl through its center and note its chew. Check the actual portion after drainage: extra syrup or cooking liquid can change both the drink balance and the amount of topping in the cup.
Use the same draining method and serving utensil each time. If customers can order extra pearls, define that extra portion explicitly rather than adding an unmeasured scoop.
Label each batch and follow supplier holding limits and your approved food-service procedures. Keep fresh batches separate from older ones. The team should be able to identify which batch is being served without guessing.
Track what remains at the end of each service period. Smaller, better-timed batches may fit demand more closely than preparing the largest possible pot at opening.
Use current supplier instructions and the specifications of your actual equipment. For product compatibility, parts, or a supply quote, contact sales@milkteallc.com.
