A dramatic brown sugar swirl makes a strong first impression. The drink still needs to taste balanced after the customer mixes it.

Brown sugar syrup may appear on the cup wall, in the drink, and around the pearls. Treat those as parts of a single recipe. A visually generous swirl can add more sweetness than the measured syrup in the shaker.
Write down the amount used for each purpose. If the topping is already sweetened, taste it as part of the complete drink before increasing the syrup dose.
Compare the finished drink against your classic milk tea. If brown sugar overwhelms the tea, first adjust the syrup amount. Changing the tea, milk, and syrup all at once makes it difficult to understand what improved the result.
Try the drink with your standard ice portion and cup size. A recipe designed for one cup should not simply be poured into a larger cup and filled to the top with milk.
Choose a simple swirl pattern that the team can produce without slowing service. Set a measured portion and a consistent way to distribute it inside the cup.
Photograph your actual finished recipe for staff reference. Include a mixed-drink tasting check as well as the layered presentation: the look and the flavor both matter.

A house milk tea starts with a tea that still has something to say after milk, sweetness, ice, and toppings join the cup. Choose it in the finished drink, not only in a tasting of plain tea.
